WAGI ang mga Filipino-American singers na sina Olivia Rodrigo at H.E.R. sa nagdaang Apple Music Awards.

Itinanghal si Olivia Rodrigo bilang breakthrough artist of the year. Ang kanyang album na “Sour” ay itinanghal na album of the year at ang kanyang kantang “Drivers License” naman ang napili bilang song of the year ng music streaming service.

“As a young Black and Filipino artist, and a woman who is on the stage giving my all, there’s no doubt that representation is important,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang Apple music awards ay naglalayong i-recognize ang 2021’s top artists at ang kanilang impluwensiya base sa limang kategorya: Artist of the Year, Top Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Top Album of the Year, at Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
