“I’m two months and 13 days post-op and I have an appointment again in five days. So far, so good.
“Nothing’s wrong with it naman although there is still heaviness but I’m okay and I’m off painkillers officially so there’s that. So we’re doing good,” pahayag ni Ria sa virtual Star Magic Black Pen mediacon last Monday kung saan siya ang nagsilbing host.
Ayon pa sa dalaga, na mapapanood na very soon sa upcoming Kapamilya series na “Viral”, napakalaki ng ipinagbago ng kanyang kundisyon kung ikukumpara last year.
“Actually it really made me feel like I’m brand new again. Although there is still some pain after surgery on my lower back, I’m able to work better already.
“Actually I really had it done para I could act properly.
Ani Ria, “I don’t think mawawala yung pressure. I’ve been in the industry for six years now and nandun pa rin yun.
“I think it’s just a matter of changing your mindset and really believing that everybody has different capabilities.
“My brother (Arjo Atayde) and my mom have completely different processes from me as an artist and I think it helps a lot that they’re very supportive in what I do.
“And they never made me feel that what I’m doing is inferior to what they’re doing. They just make me feel that they’re there supporting even if what they’re doing is different,” paliwanag pa ng dalaga.
“On a personal level it’s really about conditioning yourself not to be competitive because once the competitiveness hits you in this industry, then things can kind of like spiral from there.
“Because I realized that in this industry we have to be working together and not competing with one another.
“Everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses and it’s up to us to really maximize our strengths. So no pressure anymore thankfully,” lahad pa ni Ria.
