KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writes at least eight (8) stories per day for Bandera based on information gathered from media coverage, statements, and others.
- Edits stories submitted by other writers and ensures the accuracy of the story and correctness of grammar.
- Co-hosts Showbiz Plus (video broadcast)
- Produces journalistic content in the form of stories, images and videos for the website.
- Monitors social media for important posts made by celebrities.
- Does news coverage as may be required.
- Observes the Journalist’s Code of Ethics.
- Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- College Graduate, preferably major in Journalism or Communication Arts.
- At least 3-4 years’ experience in a related job.
- Excellent writing skills in Filipino
- Familiar with local and foreign showbiz personalities
- Nose for entertainment news
- Reportorial and editing skills
- Computer/tech and internet savvy
- High social media skills
- High attention to detail
